Visualsoft, a Middlesbrough-based ecommerce agency, has announced the appointment of Liam Quinn as its new Director of Innovation. This strategic hire is a significant step in Visualsoft’s objective to develop industry-leading solutions for Shopify merchants.
Mr Quinn brings extensive experience from some of the UK’s most respected and forward-thinking ecommerce agencies. Throughout his career, he has assisted major retail brands in navigating and thriving online and offline via Shopify, gaining a comprehensive understanding of what merchants require for growth today and how to prepare for future challenges.
Chris Fletcher, CEO of Visualsoft, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Liam to the team. Retail is evolving fast – customer expectations are rising, technology is accelerating, and competition is fierce. Innovation isn’t just a buzzword – it’s essential. Liam brings the expertise and strategic thinking that will help our clients not just keep pace, but set the pace.”
In his new role, Mr Quinn will lead Visualsoft’s newly established Innovation Function, with a focus on emerging technologies, developing tools and products that complement Shopify, and delivering increased value for clients.
Liam Quinn said: “Visualsoft has a strong reputation for delivering results, and I’m looking forward to building on that. Innovation is about making life easier and more profitable for retailers – whether that’s simplifying complex processes, introducing automations, or creating new ways for brands to connect with customers. I’m excited to get started.”
This appointment signals a shift in Visualsoft’s approach to platform strategy, research and development, and long-term client success, underscoring its commitment to investing in innovation to deliver optimal outcomes for partners.
Chris Fletcher added: “At Visualsoft, we’ve always focused on driving growth for our clients. Real, sustainable growth means looking ahead. That’s why we’re investing in innovation – to ensure we continue delivering exceptional results for the retailers we support.”
Mr Quinn’s appointment follows a series of recent strategic moves at Visualsoft. In February, Andrea Porter-Keel joined as Chief Revenue Officer, becoming the first woman to join the company’s C-suite. Last month, Visualsoft launched its new Shopify POS offering to support retailers with their physical stores, with Matthew Eley appointed as the agency’s first Retail Product Lead.
Visualsoft’s innovation initiatives are already underway, encompassing artificial intelligence, automation, personalisation, and predictive insights, with further announcements anticipated in the coming months.
