Manchester-headquartered managed IT, cyber resilience and telecoms provider Novem has acquired Intalect, a managed IT services provider based in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This transaction represents the group’s fifth acquisition as it continues to build scale across its national platform.

The growth strategy for Novem is led by Alex Heslip and Chris Earle. The approach combines organic expansion with targeted acquisitions intended to strengthen regional service delivery and create long-term value for small and medium-sized enterprise clients across the UK.

Intalect was established in 2004 and provides managed IT services, including cybersecurity, disaster recovery and VOIP. The Leicestershire firm has a history of assisting businesses with technology adoption and digital security, offering enterprise-level expertise tailored for smaller businesses.

The integration is intended to strengthen the national delivery model of Novem by expanding coverage and capability. By uniting the two teams, the group adds engineering capacity and specialist expertise to provide end-to-end IT and technology support for customers throughout the UK.

Since its first acquisition in 2023 with Independence Capital and TDC, Novem has grown to over 75 staff members supporting more than 8,100 people across various UK businesses. This latest addition follows a brand refresh and the launch of a new website for the group.

Richard Hamilton, co-founder and director of Intalect, said: “From day one, Intalect was built around providing enterprise-level IT and support to UK SMEs, and Novem shares that exact mindset. Becoming part of the group gives our customers access to an enhanced range of services without losing the quality or care they value. It’s a strong platform for the next phase of growth.”

Alex Heslip, CEO of Novem, concluded: “The addition of Intalect has added significant scale to our Midlands credentials, bringing valuable additional skills and strong customer relationships. We’re very excited about the opening of our new Midlands ‘Hub’ office in Coventry, where our people will collaborate and deliver industry-leading service from.”
