Tela Technology acquires Cambridge Helpdesk in expansion move
Tela Technology has acquired Cambridge Helpdesk as part of its expansion strategy, in a deal supported by KBS Corporate.
The Hampton in Arden based telecommunications and connectivity provider said the acquisition strengthens its regional presence and adds further expertise in managed IT services and cybersecurity.
Cambridge Helpdesk, which is based in Chatteris, provides IT support, cybersecurity, telecoms and cloud-based services. The business was founded in 2006 by Stuart Brown.
Shez Cheema, chief executive of Tela Technology, said: “The acquisition of Cambridge Helpdesk represents a pivotal milestone in Tela Technology’s buy and build strategy. Following the enhancement of our service portfolio, we recognised the need to further bolster our regional capabilities in IT managed services and cybersecurity.
“This deal not only strengthens our geographical footprint but also adds deep technical expertise that aligns perfectly with our mission to provide unified ‘high-growth technology solutions’ across the UK.”
The transaction was advised by Annie Shiel, associate director at KBS Corporate, representing Cambridge Helpdesk directors Stuart Brown and Danny Brown.
Cheema added: “Navigating the complexities of M&A requires a partner who truly understands both the numbers and the cultural fit. Annie’s service was exemplary – she provided the structure and professional insight necessary to ensure a smooth transition that benefited all parties involved.
“Annie’s ability to streamline the process allowed us to remain focused on our growth guidance, and we are incredibly pleased with the transaction.”
