Versinetic accelerates international expansion with introduction of its EV charging technology to Australian market
Versinetic, an award-winning UK smart charging consultancy and sister company to embedded electronics consultancy, ByteSnap Design, is expanding further internationally by launching its services in Australia at Fully Charged Live, a home energy and electric vehicle show, now in its 5th year, taking place in Sydney, Australia on 11-12 March 2023.
Versinetic’s continued expansion into international markets is part of a wider growth strategy and has been prompted by increased demand for its EV (electric vehicle) solutions. As a result, the growing company has seen its relocation to new premises at Park Point Longbridge and increased staff numbers.
Versinetic has established footholds in Ireland, Switzerland, Canada, Egypt and Poland; while ByteSnap has clients in Belgium, Canada, Germany, Denmark and Sweden among other countries. Both companies operate in the Netherlands and the US and the Fully Charged show in Australia is the latest in a line of recent international trade show appearances including those in Germany and Norway.
Dunstan Power, Co-founder and Director of Versinetic, said: “It’s an exciting time for us as a company to expand internationally and bring our smart charging hardware, software and consultancy services to the Australian market, which is relatively new to its adoption of EV technologies.
“We’ve been in the EV arena since developing new software and electronics for the EV charging stations at London 2012. Having made great strides in the UK and EU, the momentum is now starting to pick up in Australia since we joined The Australian Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA).”
The AEVA is an organisation dedicated to the cause of switching Australia’s transport networks to electric drive as quickly as possible. Formed after the oil price shocks of 1973, the AEVA is the longest continuously running EV society in the world.
“With growing enquiries for our charging solutions expertise, Australia has the potential to become a key market for us and as such, we are looking to connect with partners to grow our client base and introduce new smart charging technology to the country,” Power continued.
At Fully Charged Live, visitors can explore Versinetic’s in-demand, white-label modular electric vehicle Charging Blox. These are product and service modules that can be configured to precisely match customers’ requirements, and combine to create a complete EV charge point solution.
Versinetic’s engineering and development team will also be showcasing the LINKRAY Load Balancing Controller for dynamic load management. One use of this popular module, is the combination of both passive and active local controller functionality, to turn chargers into solar EV charging stations.
An active member of BEAMA, the UK trade association for manufacturers and providers of energy infrastructure technologies and systems, Versinetic contributes to the setting of EV policy.
Versinetic’s engineers also co-developed VIGIL (VehIcle-to-Grid Intelligent controL), the UK’s first end-to-end, fully integrated Vehicle-to-Grid system. VIGIL is an off-vehicle communication and control platform designed for different types of V2G/V2B [Vehicle-to-Building] charging points. It manages energy dispatch between EVs and buildings, while also ensuring that voltage/thermal distribution limits aren’t exceeded.
The two-day programme in New South Wales is set to host dozens of exhibitors who will be showcasing their latest technologies in the home energy and electric transport space to
thousands of visitors from across Australia.
