Buildout AI launches recruitment platform targeting hiring process automation

Buildout AI has launched an artificial intelligence recruitment platform designed to automate and personalise parts of the hiring process for employers and job candidates.

The Warwickshire-based business was founded by James O’Donoghue and Jack Hurdley and is positioning its platform as a data-led alternative to traditional job boards. The system uses artificial intelligence to match candidates with vacancies and support employers during recruitment processes.

Buildout AI has already piloted the platform within the UK construction sector, where labour shortages continue to affect recruitment activity. The company said it is now seeking £2.8m in funding to support wider rollout and international expansion later this year.

The platform is designed to operate as an AI-driven career assistant for candidates by learning user preferences, supporting applications and matching users with roles beyond traditional keyword-based searches.

For employers, the company said the system includes automated early-stage screening, candidate pre-assessment and hiring tools covering job advertising, interview scheduling and offer management. The aim is to reduce recruitment costs and shorten hiring times.
