Leeds-based telecom firm acquires two South East IT support companies

Northern Telecom, which is headquartered in Leeds, has successfully acquired two Kent-based IT support enterprises, Allteks and Absols, fortifying its managed services division. The strategic aquisition has not only preserved several job positions but also integrated them into Northern Telecom’s Soda IT group. The Soda IT group itself became a part of Northern Telecom’s portfolio in 2021, specialising in offering IT support and security solutions.

While financial details of these acquisitions remain disclosed, they mark the latest phase of expansion through acquisitions for Northern Telecom, a trend guided by advice from Mincoffs Solicitors based in Newcastle.

Chris Hughes, corporate partner at Mincoffs Solicitors, said: “It was brilliant to deliver yet another successful deal for Jon Graves and the team. Jon has built a group with a reach far beyond a traditional telecom provider and it has been a pleasure to advise the team and watch the business go from strength to strength over the years. I have no doubt Northern Telecom has big plans for the future and I look forward to seeing what is next for the group as it continues to go above and beyond for its clients.”

The addition of Allteks and Absols are the ninth and tenth acquisitions for the group in just five years.

Group CEO, Jon Graves, said: “Mincoffs’ support has been critical to our growth strategy. Getting 10 acquisitions over the line in just a few years is a testament to the hard work put in by Chris and the M&A team.”
