IT and software services provider NetMonkeys is preparing to launch an artificial intelligence platform designed to let businesses query and analyse their own data using natural language.
The company will demonstrate Lumos AI publicly for the first time at its inaugural NetVerse event in Manchester on 8 October.
Lumos AI has been developed by NetMonkeys’ software team, led by Darren Cawdry. The platform is intended to provide an interface through which employees can ask questions about business data and organisational knowledge without relying solely on conventional reporting and data analysis tools.
NetMonkeys provides managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, Microsoft 365, business software, data and analytics, software development and AI services. It operates from Manchester, Nottingham and London and provides services to businesses in locations including Birmingham.
The launch will form part of NetVerse, a new series of events examining the use of AI and other technologies within businesses. The first event, titled Business in the Age of AI: Technology, Transformation & What Comes Next, will also cover automation, AI strategy and digital transformation.

NetMonkeys founder Mike Dixon will also take part in the Manchester event, alongside members of the company’s wider team. Further NetVerse events are planned for Nottingham, London and Birmingham.
TechSparx previously reported on NetMonkeys’ partnership with East Midlands Chamber, which was established to help businesses across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire prepare for and adopt AI. The programme included workshops and training covering AI implementation, with NetMonkeys providing expertise in areas including machine learning and automation.
More recently, NetMonkeys partnered with Tasklet in June 2026 to offer its Mobile WMS warehouse management technology within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The system connects handheld barcode scanners with Business Central and can continue operating offline, targeting customers in manufacturing, retail and distribution.
