Bristol-based StorMagic, a company focused on simplifying on-site virtualisation, has announced a new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with SNUC. The factory-ready systems combine SNUC’s 2000- and 3000- series extremeEDGE Servers™ and StorMagic SvHCI™ to provide certified, flexible solutions for customers with demanding edge environments.
The new hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions are available immediately to global distributors and resellers. These ruggedised, full-stack appliances offer highly available shared storage and real-time compute. The company states the solutions are easy to install, deploy, and manage, and can be configured to meet precise customer needs without unnecessary provisioning.
Jonny Smith, CEO at SNUC, commented: “SNUC is excited to partner with StorMagic to deliver flexible solutions built specifically for the world’s most demanding environments. Combining SNUC’s fanless, rugged, AI-ready edge servers with StorMagic’s simply reliable SvHCI software delivers optimal value in a complete, tightly integrated HCI appliance that is purpose-built for the edge.”
For customers, the joint system provides a pre-integrated, certified solution that shortens deployment time and maintains simple ongoing management. For distributors and Value Added Resellers (VARs), it creates opportunities to address demanding environments with an appliance that can be easily bundled with additional services and support.
Susan Odle, CEO at StorMagic, concluded: “This partnership is about removing barriers for customers who need reliable IT in challenging environments. By combining SNUC’s rugged servers with StorMagic’s simple and flexible software, we are giving organisations and their partners a proven, cost-effective system that is ready to deploy immediately and easy to manage over time.”
