Solsoft, an IT services provider that works with clients across sectors including legal services, engineering, energy, health, and social care, has been purchased by Ekco. The Bristol-based company has been assisting businesses in the South and South West of England for over 25 years.

Solsoft’s 16-person team has now joined Ekco’s global workforce of 1,000 employees. As part of the Ekco Managed Service Provider (MSP) Division, Solsoft will help to support the expansion of the group’s UK service offering.

Cian Prendergast, chief executive of the Ekco MSP Division, commented: “Having known Solsoft very well for many years, we have always admired their rock solid, client focused, proactive service in the UK. With Ekco’s world class expertise in security-first managed services and technology, this partnership is a perfect match – and we are looking forward to growing and learning together.”

Neil Farnworth, Solsoft managing director, added: “Joining Ekco lets us bring more capability and resilience to our customers, while keeping the responsiveness they trust us for.”

Ekco has its UK head office in Milton Keynes and its Ireland head office in Dublin. Solsoft is the company’s third acquisition of 2025, following Predatech in the UK and Adapt IT in Ireland.
