PolyModels Hub, a London startup that develops software for the pharmaceutical sector, has successfully completed a £7 million Series A funding round. This latest investment comes a year after the company secured its seed funding.

Established in 2023, PolyModels Hub developed ModelFlow, a digital platform. This platform integrates complex modelling, simulation, and workflow management to assist researchers in designing, testing, and specifying biopharma manufacturing procedures.

After securing £1.1 million in a seed investment led by Marathon Venture Capital the previous year, the company has now substantially increased its capital. It plans to use the funds to expand its engineering and product teams, improve its platform, and engage with a wider range of international pharmaceutical firms.

PolyModels Hub co-founder and chief executive, Antonio Benedetti, said: “The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing a once-in-a-generation digital transformation. In just 18 months, our technology and exceptional team have delivered tangible value across multiple programs, expanding these collaborations to a global scale.” He added, “We’re investing deeply in complex biologics and advancing our platform to empower scientists with the model-based solutions they deserve to transform molecules into medicines for the 21st century.”

The Series A round was headed by Molten Ventures and included a subsequent investment from Marathon Venture Capital.

Ben Wilkinson, chief executive of Molten Ventures, commented: “PolyModels Hub is solving a real pain point for pharma teams, bringing together deep domain expertise and cutting-edge technology in a way that’s genuinely transformative.” He further noted, “What impressed us most is the team’s blend of technical know-how and deep understanding of their customers’ challenges. They’ve built a solution that delivers value in weeks, not years, and its rapid adoption across the industry speaks volumes.”
