Portsmouth-headquartered IT services provider Bell Integration has partnered with charity The Cyber Helpline to assist victims of digital fraud, cybercrime and online harm.

Under the partnership launched during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Bell Integration employees will donate time and technical skills to the organisation throughout the year. More than 50 staff members are participating in a fundraising walk to raise money for the charity’s operations.

The Cyber Helpline provides practical guidance and technical assistance to individuals affected by online fraud and security breaches. The charity reports assisting more than 100,000 individuals since its establishment in 2018.

The initiative follows continued commercial expansion for the IT infrastructure specialist. Business financial disclosures from PR Newswire show that Portsmouth-based Bell Integration expanded its public sector and enterprise contracts after surpassing £1 billion in annual turnover. That financial growth and expanded operational scale enabled the firm to establish formal corporate volunteering programmes across its UK security divisions.

Rob Forde, Head of security services at Bell Integration, said: “Behind every case of cybercrime is a person who may be facing financial loss, distress or threats to their safety. The Cyber Helpline gives people practical guidance when they need it most, helping them to understand what has happened and how to take the necessary steps to regain control.”

Official estimates indicate approximately one in seven UK adults falls victim to cybercrime annually, with total losses to individuals reaching around £7 billion last year.

Rory Innes, CEO of The Cyber Helpline added: “Victims of cybercrime and online harm often see their lives devastated, with nowhere to turn. The Cyber Helpline is here to help them and Bell’s support means we can reach more people, faster.”
